Hinckley's Triumph Motorcycles plans festival to mark rebirth
The legendary Hinckley firm will host a programme of track activities, featuring some of its most iconic bikes, at the Mallory Park race circuit.
The latest range of Triumph motorcycles will be on display, as well as key machines from the marque's past. Visitors will also be given a tour of the company's factory.
Triumph has promised "exclusive surprises" for fans and says a party will carry on late into the night with live music, said a spokeswoman.
Triumph was founded by German-born Siegfried Bettmann in Coventry in 1886. It went into liquidation in 1983 and the name was bought by Measham businessman John Bloor.
A new range of bikes was unveiled in September 1990 at the Cologne motorcycle show.
From a six-model range and 2,000 sales in 1991, the business has grown to make 17 models, with around 50,000 sales a year in 31 countries. The company employs about 600 people.
Tickets for the festival, on Saturday, September 18, are £24 and free for under-16s.
