Wednesday, July 01, 2009, 08:30

A well-known banker has retired.

Mike Siddall, who had been the Royal Bank of Scotland's commercial banking director for Leicestershire for the past nine years, has been a familiar face at both business and sporting functions. He had been with the bank for 38 years.

RBS has now restructured its management team in the county, with Malcolm Perry, Tom Corr and Gillian Wood responsible for north Leicestershire, Leicester and south Leicestershire respectively.

The county will be overseen by regional business and commercial banking director Adrian Fern.

The team will be based at the RBS offices in Grove Park, Enderby.

Mr Fern said: "Mike has been a fantastic asset to the bank throughout his career and we wish him well in his retirement.

"During the past nine years he has made a real impact on the Leicestershire business community and helped to drive our business across the county.

"Malcolm, Tom and Gillian have worked in Leicestershire in managerial roles over the past 10 years, so bring experience and local knowledge to their teams as we seek to support our customers in this difficult economic environment through appropriate funding propositions."
