Koko Digital lands deal with Currys and Sony

Digital marketing specialist Koko Digital has landed a deal to produce an online game for High Street retailer Currys and electronics giant Sony.

The Keele-based studio was asked to create a game that would appeal to teenagers and young professionals, promote a new range of Sony MP4 Walkmans and increase online sales through a Summer Sounds promotion.
Koko's Battle Of The Bands title uses similar technology as the popular Guitar Hero game in which players must keep in beat with the music so as not to be booed off stage.

Koko Digital co-founder Stuart Howarth said: "Creating a game for both Currys and Sony represents a huge achievement for us. Koko is only 18 months old!

"We are getting a lot of interest from other household name brands and are now looking for new staff."

Koko Digital has recently released the games Partmaster Mini GP for Partmaster.co.uk and Snap Happy for Currys. It is also developing a number of other games to be launched in the near future.
