Syzygy Leisure Ltd, a sport and leisure consultancy based in Moulton, Northampton, has started to run courses teaching English to East European workers.

The company was initially approached by a firm in Raunds seeking someone to teach English to its East European workers.
Syzygy took up the challenge and has now run two courses since January 2008, teaching around 20 workers from Poland, Slovakia, Latvia and also Portugal.
The courses run for two to four hours a week depending on the company’s needs. Each course is run by Mike Behnke, a qualified teacher who also works on behalf of the County Council in schools as a bilingual assistant for Polish children.
Each course is around 12 weeks long, although this is discussed in detail before the courses start, to ensure that what is being offered meets the company's requirements.
Syzygy now wants to offer this service to other companies in Northamptonshire.
