A multi-million pound refurbishment programme by one of the region's train services has begun.East Midlands Trains will spend £10 million on updating all 25 of its "class 158" trains in the next 20 months.
The money will be spent on repainting, improved seating, new toilet areas, improved air conditioning and the introduction of CCTV on every train.
Chris Elliott, of East Midlands Trains, said: "This is the start of a very exciting time for East Midlands Trains.
"We're looking forward to the launch of the first refurbished train in October."
