Peace Mills sales terms are agreed

Spencer Birch, acting on behalf of a local family-owned property company, has agreed terms for the sale of the former Peace Mills workshop at Perry Road, Sherwood, opposite Nottingham Prison. The premises have been on the market since November 2007 and comprise a substantial two -storey factory which was built in the early 1900s.

The workshops provide 20,000sq ft across the ground and first floor, together with a large car park with vehicle access off Victoria Road.

The premises have been in private family ownerships since the 1970s and have been used as engineering workshops.

The property was considered suitable for redevelopment and interest has been expressed over the course of the last three years from various residential developers. Spencer Birch has now negotiated terms for the freehold for a sale of the building to the Ministry of Justice.

David Pepper, director at Spencer Birch, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to negotiate favourable terms on behalf of our client."
